Surface Modeler by Dynamic Chaos Incorporated for TurboCAD V8 and V9

A fantastic new plug-in for TurboCAD allows Civil Engineers to quickly and easily create Surface Models of imported XYZ terrain data. You can analyze site data and produce the plan drawings and profile sheets. Surface parameters at any point can be computed and visualized.

Take a look at all these amazing modeling and analysis features:

• Create Triangles allows you to use your data to create a triangulation.
• Switch Diagonals switches the diagonal of two adjacent triangles.
• Create Surface creates a set of facets from points or a triangulation. You can apply materials to and then render this surface.
• Create Cross Section creates a poly-line, connecting two points, with vertices interpolated to the surface. And, it can put a graph of this line on the clip board.
• Create Contours creates contours based on the interpolated surface.
• Create Point creates a point with an interpolated elevation value.
• Create Slope Arrow creates an arrow pointing in the direction of the down slope at the desired point.
• Create Flow Line shows where a rain drop would flow if it were to fall onto the surface at the selected point.
• Create Image Map allows you to create a bitmap with each pixel color determined by the elevation, the slope, or the aspect at that point on the surface.
• Create Solid allows you to create an ACIS solid from a surface.
• Import ASCII data allows you to import data as points or lines and it has a preview mode.
• Create Side Slopes lets you create a surface that extends from a line to the main surface.
• Create Profile is similar to create cross section except that it allows you to interpolate along a selected poly-line. Both the poly-line and the interpolated line are in the paper space graphic.
• Create Point creates a point with an interpolated elevation value allowing you to project your existing 2D site plan into 3D.
