"Your
Web-Ex based course is a great training venue. It enables a two way graphic
conversation, a free flow of thoughts and ideas, and is truly the shortest
distance between two points. In less than 2 hours after hanging up, I was able
to express and print my latest design of an oxygen conserving device in 3D
graphics. Thank you!” Brian L Tiep, MD - Medical Director,
Respiratory Disease Management Institute
Live Online Training
Join one of
several targeted online training seminars covering specific trouble areas in
TurboCAD such as:
1. Basic Tools
2. Handle Based Editing and Transformation Tools
3. Using Design Director and the Pallets
4. Workplanes
5. 3D Conceptualization
Each hour long
training session covers the fundamental concepts of the listed categories. The
expert trainers will make sure that you have a working knowledge of the concepts
by the end of the session. During the class you will complete example exercises
in TurboCAD on your own machine and submit the results online. Multiple-choice
tests are presented at the end of each session to ensure that you have grasped
the content of the course.
The cost of
each course is $40 per hour. Classes are usually limited to five students per
session.

Broadband Support/Training
CADCourse is
proud to now offer one-on-one online training and support at the affordable rate
of $75 per hour or at $25 per 15 min (or part thereof). This is a particularly
useful service if you are having trouble with a drawing and require some quick
help. With the Online WebEx Training Center you will be able to show us the
specific drawing by sharing your application online. You will be able to discuss
the problem with us as we both watch the program simultaneously. You will then
even be able to pass us control of the mouse cursor so that we can fix the
problem online while you watch what we do on your system. This is by far the
best way of communicating the problem and allowing us to provide you with a
quick solution. We guarantee that you will find this service to be extremely
useful, saving you hours of valuable time.

With over 15
years of experience in teaching TurboCAD, CADCourse is in a position to be able
to offer the most comprehensive on-site training available for TurboCAD v7 and
V8.
Training
classes include full multimedia training materials that the students can use as
revision to reinforce the ideas they learned during class. Each student will
receive a full copy of CADCourse Essentials CAD
A, covering the vital topics necessary to create precision 2D drawings, as
well as the
CADCourse Space Station Episode I, highlighting the most important 3D
features of TurboCAD as they learn how to model the International Space Station.
The instructor will use these materials as a basis for the class, pinpointing
areas relevant to the students' particular field, enabling them to become
productive in the shortest time possible.
The instructor
is Rob Berry of CADCourse, who has given TurboCAD training and presentations
worldwide to clients such as the US Government, Boeing, Rio
Tinto, South Texas Project, Eskom, high schools and other corporations.
The cost of
training is $1,500 per day plus travel and accommodation expenses. Classes are
usually limited to ten people and run from approximately 8:30 am to 4 pm. The
price includes full training materials for each member of the class and backup
support for attendees for three months after completion of the training course.
For additional charge the students can get large discounts on further training
material from CADCourse such as the Mastering TurboCAD
and TriCAD Lesson Plans.
It is highly
recommended that the training facility is equipped with a computer and headphone
for each student enabling them to work at their own pace as the class
progresses. Further there should be a projector (minimum 800x 600 resolution)
that links to the instructors' laptop so that demonstration can be given to the
entire class. TurboCAD should be installed on each machine prior to the training
class.
The
recommended course outline is as follows:
Day 1 - Precision Two Dimensional Drawing
Introduction
and Overview
What is CAD and how does it differ from other graphics programs. Manual drafting
verses CAD. Discussion of the TurboCAD program interface, highlighting
similarities to other programs such as MS Word. Set goals that the students can
expect to achieve during the course.
Prepare
Hands-on Training
Learn how to use the training material interactively. Students start to use the
program themselves by using the interactive training material. Instructor makes
sure each student understands how to follow the exercises and switch between the
TurboCAD and ScreenCam programs. Instructor also ensures the correct tutorials
drawings and interfaces are loaded by each student ensuing that they can
progress with the exercises.
Drawing
Tools
Discussion of the basic drawing tools in TurboCAD and hands on exercises to
become familiar with the tools. Also learn how to apply snap modes to ensure
accuracy.
Editing
Tools
Become familiar with the Editing or Modification tools in TurboCAD. Learn to
join, trim and extend existing lines. Discuss drawing techniques to exploit
these tools.
Transformation
Tools
Learn to use the linear, radial and array copy tools. Never draw the same
objects twice, rather use the objects already drawn and make modifications if
required. Create and reuse symbols. Exercises and skill practice Draw a sample
exercise - either the same as in the notes or a customized version for the
specific group of students and their related field.
Tests and
Review Questions
Students complete tests from the workbook and instructor tracks progress of each
student.
Day 2 - Creating Three Dimensional
Drawings
Revision
Revisit 2D tools learned on Day 1 and discuss how these tools can be used as the
basis for 3D objects
Creating 2D
Profiles
Learn how to design the closed 2D profiles in preparation for the 3D modeling.
Import bitmaps from any source. Scale the bitmaps them to the correct size.
Create layers for the bitmaps and move them onto the locked layers. Trace over
the bitmaps to create the precision 2D profiles.
Understanding
the 3D Interface
Learn how to use the TurboCAD interface to full interact with a 3D model viewing
it from all angles and standard isometric views.
Turning a
2D drawing into 3D
Learn techniques to take standard top, left and side views and create 3D objects
from the 2D profiles.
Rendering
in Hidden Line
Render the 3D model in hidden line an draft modes. Spin and rotate the 3D model
in space.
Workplanes
and the 2D/3D selector Change workplanes to suite the design of additional 2D
profiles. Understand how the different options for the selector change the
methods of object manipulation.
Layer and
Categories
Learn how to effectively use layers and categories to make simplify the drawing
process.
Assembling
the model
Use block and import symbols to assemble different 3D objects in the drawings.
Specific
Questions and Answers
An opportunity to ask the instructor specific advanced questions. Get
suggestions as how to solve specific design requirements.
We are
offering one-on-one telephone training and support at the affordable rate of $50
per hour. This is a particularly useful service if you are having trouble with a
