CADCourse is very pleased be able to launch subscription based training and drawing services for only $100 per month. We now provide our subscription customers with unlimited online training and support via our WebEx training center. Customers can log into the training center during regular business hours and get assistance that is specific to their drawing needs. The expert TurboCAD instructors can quickly pinpoint specific problems on your computer as they can see your application online. If required the instructor can even take over the mouse in real time and fix the problem as you watch.

Essentials / House Plan Proves Popular in Schools

The CADCourse Essentials and House Plan products are proving to be very popular in schools. The multimedia movie exercises allow the teacher to administrate the student’s progress without having to be a CAD expert. The students can proceed at their own pace while reviewing the movies over and over until they master the concepts.

Penney Fleming of the School District of Cheltenham uses both the CADCourse Essentials and CADCourse House Plan to teach her students. She has also made use of the CADCourse Training Center for online training and support for her students to clarify more detailed concepts. Bug Watch

CADCourse Interface
The CADCourse Interface is a configuration file that stores the position of icons in the TurboCAD interface. This interface is used in the CADCourse multimedia training videos. It has been specially designed not only to accommodate the smaller screen size required for movies but also to be easy to use. The interface distinctly separates 2D and 3D tools making it easy to find certain tools when they are required.

In the CADCourse House Plan and Space Station training products (which were created in version 8) the user is instructed to install the interface by copying the correct file into the config folder. This is no longer required in V9 as the interface is included in the standard installation. You can now simply load the “cadcourse_com” interface via the customize dialog. Once you have loaded the interface you will be able to successfully use all the videos in V9.

The bug in this interface is that the new local pop up toolbar does not appear and it is required that this is manually turned on via the “View | Toolbars | Pop Up ToolBars | Customize” menu. Make sure the check mark for Pop up Toolbars is selected. Click the “Customize button underneath this check mark and choose “Pop Up 1” as the toolbar to display when you right click.
